Following our discovery meeting, if we all agree that working together will be a good fit, Black Dog Marcom will provide a proposal in writing within 48 hours outlining expectations, requirements, how the project will be managed, revision and approval schedules, timelines, expected deliverables, and fees. Once you agree and sign the proposal, we’ll provide a Statement of Work (SOW) which will require a deposit to hold space in our calendar in order to get started.
We are focused on getting things done so that your budgeted time and resources go into real work. We have proper platforms in place to manage client communication, collaboration, project management, reporting, and billing so you can feel confident in our processes.
In our discovery meeting, we will establish whether we - your team and ours - will be a great fit so that our work together can be collaborative, efficient, and enjoyable. We operate under the values of transparency and honesty; if we aren’t able to help you, we’ll be upfront with you and not waste our time or yours.
This will be decided on a project-by-project basis, but we believe that every marketing or communications activity must be measured to ensure your ROI. We will determine together what the most important indicators are to your marketing or communications plans. Then we will build out reporting from there.
For example, if we are measuring social engagement, we will use tracking tools to produce monthly reports. If we are measuring the number of placements in publications, we will use media databases to identify our targets together and provide links to published articles.
It’s important to understand why you are measuring and that some metrics may not tell the whole story. We want to be sure that our various marketing tactics are effective in generating awareness, traffic, leads, and/or customers.
We have the expertise to lead your marketing and communications projects right from day one. In our proposal and SOW, we will outline the first 90 days of working together so you can get a picture of what it will look like and what to expect. We’ll take into account what you are asking for specifically, but expect additional recommendations since we will want to share our vision for your extended success.
The first 90 days will typically include an initial onboarding meeting to understand your processes and teams, followed by one-on-ones with stakeholders. From there, we’ll get started.
For example, if we are developing a customer case study, there will be research and interviews conducted prior to drafting the report. If we are managing social media programs, there will be meetings with your lead to design branded assets and post copy drafts for revision and approval. Depending on the length of our engagement, reporting will begin within the first 30 days.
We typically don't assess an hourly or daily fee since you should not have to make an investment decision every time our assistance may be needed. We offer per-project value-based pricing so you will know what to expect upon signing with us.
Our projects and deliverables start at $1000 and go up from there, dependent on the package we develop that addresses your needs. For example, simpler copywriting and marketing collateral may land in the lower range versus a more involved full program for events or social media which starts at $5000. We require 50% deposits to get started and monthly payment plans are negotiable.
